She had started racing competitively at the age of 8 in go-kart tournaments, so being behind the wheel comes naturally to her.

Similarly, she began her professional racing career in 2001 by making her debut in the Sportsman class at Afton Speedway.

Over the years, she has competed in various series like the All-Star Circuit of Champions and World of Outlaws.

Among all the series, the one that she cherishes the most is the 2004 Utica- Rome Speedway DIRT Sportsman series, where she won the track championship.

The other moment in her early racing career that she will not forget is when she was awarded an Outstanding Woman in Racing in 2009.

Racing In Jessica Friesen Comes From Her Father

Jessica Zemken-Friesen was born on May 5, 1986, in Sprakers, New York, to father, Ray Zemken, and mother, Shauna Zemken.

Ray Zemken was a Dirt Modified racing driver, while on the other hand, Shauna Zemken was an optometrist.

So, being the daughter of a racing driver, she inherited the racing DNA from her father.

Similarly, her family introduced her to racing at a very early age. The first dirt race she ever witnessed was when she was just two weeks old.

She grew up watching her father compete in dirt tracks with everything he got to put himself on the podium.

This inspired her to visualize herself on those tracks and to believe that one day, she could race just like her father.

Although her father did race just as a hobby, she was inspired so much that she made the decision to pursue it as a career.

So, after witnessing her daughter’s passion for racing, Ray bought a go-kart and made a track in his backyard for her.

This shows that both of her family members supported her and her decision to pursue a racing career.

Their unwavering support and encouragement are the very reason for Jessica Friesen to be the most competitive female racer in the racing world.

Husband and Children Of Jessica Friesen

Jessica Friesen is married to a fellow professional dirt racer and NASCAR driver, Stewart Friesen.

Their love story began at the racetrack, where they met during the race and started dating in 2004.

After a decade of dating and knowing each other, they finally tied the knot in September 2014.

Shortly after their marriage, the two had raced together at Utica-Rome Speedway and finished first and second.

In 2015, they welcomed their son, Parker Friesen, into the world. With the arrival of their son, they were added with a new set of challenges, forcing Jessica to take a hiatus from racing.

Just before his second birthday, Parker was diagnosed with the autism spectrum after it was noticed that he was avoiding eye contact and social interaction with people.

Immediately, he was taken to a therapist and given the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. The therapy worked, and he started getting better at interactions with people.

At present, Parker can be found enjoying the racing tracks, interacting with people, and making new friends.

This has enabled Jessica to continue her racing career; now, she has been balancing her role as a mother and a professional racer.
